Maeve nods in response to the earrings, then makes a face at what Alex says next. "Yikes," she says, as if Jackson hadn't been exactly the same. At least it seems like it's worked out for Alex, when it definitely hadn't for Maeve and Jackson. Not because he'd been an ass about it, but because she hadn't been able to handle someone wanting to be with her that much.
